Please outline briefly your understanding of the biblical premise upon which you feel an exception can be granted for your licensing, ordination, missionary service or placement for ministry. (use separate sheet).
Corroborating affidavits from pastors, counselors or other outside parties are required for
all critical data, including all pertinent dates. This material is to be presented to the
Divorce Fact-finding Committee. They will present such affidavits to the EFCA national
Board of Ministerial Standing along with the minutes of the Fact-finding Committee.
In the case of a divorce occurring prior to conversion, this needs to include information of efforts at reconciliation when spouse has not yet remarried.
In the case of a divorce due to adultery, this needs to include affidavits concerning the unfaithfulness on the part of the spouse.
In the case of I Cor. 7, desertion, it needs to include affidavits of the spouse’s spiritual condition and the reasons for desertion. It should also include efforts for reconciliation.
These affidavits shall be presented to the superintendent to be reviewed by the divorce council and the EFCA Board of Ministerial Standing.
