What does the Rocky Mountain District offer to Youth Pastors and Youth Leaders?

We seek to maximize leaders to reach and release the next generation with the Gospel. Currently, we accomplish this through the following ways:
Youth Leader Network Gatherings
The second Thursday of the month, youth leaders gather in person at Calvary Bible Church in Thornton, CO (12:30-2:30pm). We share helpful tools, have a chance to connect in groups to discuss ministry or life needs. This year we are working through Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero. For those available we meet at a local restaurants throughout the year at 11:30am for lunch before. Email Carson for details.

There is also an online zoom version the first Thursday of the month for those who can’t make the drive following the same format and material from 1:00-2:30 pm.
Prayer Support and Counsel
Any youth leader who needs prayer or counsel can reach out to the district for help. Many times, an outside perspective can be helpful.

Helpful links:

Challenge Conference
Challenge is the EFCA’s biennial national gathering for students entering 7th grade through completion of 12th grade. They are committed to helping you plant and water the gospel among the next generation. They want students to experience the joy of knowing Jesus and helping others do the same. Challenge blends aspects of a conference, a mission trip and camp to create a catalytic environment that moves beyond the mountaintop moment to building missional momentum within your group.

Apex Missions
Apex is the student missions program for the Evangelical Free Church of America. They exist to serve the local church by helping them mobilize the next generation of gospel influencers to take the gospel from here to everywhere. They do this by offering students—the most sendable and teachable part of our society—bite-sized missions opportunities. Students will be challenged by needs outside their bubble, equipped by long-term laborers, and impacted by the power of the gospel through a different cultural lens.
